American Motors Co. American Motors was created in 1954 by the merger of Nash-Kelvinator and Hudson Motorcar Company. The company lasted only 30 years producing models such as the Gremlin, Javelin, Rambler and during the 1970's, Jeep. Nash had gone through various names since its corporate founding in 1902 as the Thomas B. Jeffery Co, maker of Rambler automobiles. The Jeffery nameplate was applied in 1913, and became Nash in 1917. Hudson was formed in 1909, and started selling cars to the public in 1910.
   
Campbell's SoupThe colors of Campbell's Soup labels were chosen from the colors of the Cornell University football team. The soups won a gold medal at the Paris Exposition in 1900 and the medal has remained on the label to this day.
Pepsi Cola Pepsi was invented in 1898 by Caleb D. Bradham, a North Carolina pharmacist. Pepsi's ad campaign in China ran into difficulty with translation. In English, the slogan was meant to be "Pepsi gives you life." However, translated into Chinese gave the result, "Pepsi brings your ancestors back from the grave."

The term F.O.B. would appear in numerous automotive ads such as Price $775 f.o.b. Detroit. F.O.B. is a shipping term meaning Free On Board.The supplier pays the shipping costs (and usually also the insurance costs) from the point of manufacture to a specified destination, at which point the buyer takes responsibility.
