Schaefer Beer original vintage advertisement. Thomas Jefferson
spent years trying to brew a great beer. If we'd come to America
sooner, we could have saved him a lot of trouble. At Monticello,
Jefferson had his own private brewery. But, like all the other
beers of the early 1800's, the beer he brewed was dark. And cloudy.
Then, in 1842, a whole new kind of beer came along. A beer that
was far lighter. And brighter. Because it was aged, or lagered,
far longer. The beer was Schaefer lager beer. And it was entirely
unique. Schaefer. America's oldest lager beer. |
